The City of South Pasadena is calling on residents to help shape the future of local transportation. Feedback is currently being sought for the Huntington Drive and Fremont Avenue Corridor Improvements Project, a city initiative designed to enhance safety, accessibility, and multimodal connectivity.

Funded by Metro, the project targets two major thoroughfares:

• Fremont Avenue Corridor: Spanning from Columbia Street to Alhambra Road.
• Huntington Drive Corridor: Spanning from Alhambra Road to Garfield Avenue.

The primary goal of the project is to close active transportation gaps across the city by introducing new bicycle facilities, improving existing sidewalks, and upgrading traffic signals.

To kick off the public outreach process, the City is hosting two initial community meetings. These sessions will educate residents about the project, present multiple design concepts, and provide a platform for public input on the proposed roadway improvements.

Residents are encouraged to attend either of the following open-house style meetings:

Community Meeting Option #1

• Date: Monday, February 23, 2026
• Time: 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Location: Library Community Room, 1115 El Centro St.

South Pasadena Real Estate

Community Meeting Option #2

• Date: Thursday, March 5, 2026
• Time: 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
• Location: Library Community Room, 1115 El Centro St.

Each meeting will begin with an overview of the project and the design concepts presented by city staff. Following the presentation, attendees will transition into an open-house format where they can ask questions and share their thoughts directly with the project team. A second series of community meetings will be held later this spring, giving the public an opportunity to review the refined design concepts.

For those unable to attend in person, or for those who wish to provide immediate feedback, an interactive project map with a commenting feature is available at bit.ly/4qQhG0U.
