The City of South Pasadena is excited to bring back its beloved summer tradition, Shakespeare in the Park, with two free live performances at Garfield Park on Saturday, July 19 and Sunday, July 20, beginning at 7:00 p.m. each evening. The community is invited to enjoy professional outdoor theater under the stars in a welcoming, family-friendly setting.
Free Admission and Family-Friendly Fun
Hosted in partnership with Shakespeare by the Sea, the event offers high-quality theatrical productions of two of Shakespeare’s most enduring works:
- Julius Caesar – Saturday, July 19
A gripping political thriller about ambition, betrayal, and power. - As You Like It – Sunday, July 20
A romantic comedy of mistaken identity, love, and laughter in the Forest of Arden.
Both performances begin at 7:00 p.m., and admission is free. Donations are welcome to support the arts.
What to Bring
Attendees are encouraged to bring:
- Lawn chairs and blankets
- Picnic baskets or purchase from food vendors onsite
- Friends and family for a relaxing evening of culture and entertainment
