“Oh the thinks you can think!” Young Stars Theatre Academy is back with one of their all-time favorite musicals, Seussical Jr.. Come watch two talented groups of young actors bring your favorite Dr. Seuss characters to life with bright colors, catchy music, and energetic dances!

Never heard of it? Here’s a great summary from Music Theatre International: “Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat narrates the story of Horton the Elephant, who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos. Horton must protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, and he must also guard an abandoned egg that’s been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!”

This heartfelt and wacky musical is beloved by every cast and every audience at YSTA, and we’re excited to share it with you! For the first time in YSTA history, almost the entire cast has done shows with YSTA previously, so it’s extra sentimental for owner, producer, director and stage manager Gloria Bennett and administrator, producer, music director, and choreographer Miranda Miller. The mother-daughter duo is joined by Peyton Woolf, assistant choreographer, and Cadence Johnston, assistant to everything else.
Seussical Jr. opens October 4th at the Fremont Centre Theatre and runs for three weekends only. For upcoming audition and camp info, showtimes and ticketing, and more info about YSTA, visit www.YSTAcademy.com.
