Past Rotary President Dan Evans was the program speaker for the February 25 meeting of the Rotary Club of South Pasadena at Oneonta Church.

Evans described his experiences while living in Greifswald in what was formerly in East Germany from 1992-1995.

His fascinating presentation included how difficult the transition was from a socialist society to a democratic one. Evans worked as a law instructor at the local university and described the decrepit state of East Germany, the terrible state of the economy, and the events that led up to the fall of the socialist society.
