Altadena residents and supporters will come together for a candlelight vigil on Tuesday, January 7, 2026, at 7:00 p.m., to mark the first anniversary of the devastating Eaton Fire. The vigil will be held at the corner of North Lake Avenue and East Loma Alta Drive (5400 N. Lake Ave., Altadena).
The evening of remembrance is intended as a moment of reflection, healing, and unity for a community deeply affected by the fire one year ago. Organizers Kinfolk Helping Hands, Connect 2 Rise Inc., and Intentional Talk Radio Network invite the public to gather in solidarity to honor lives, homes, and neighborhoods impacted, while looking ahead toward recovery and renewal.
The program will feature performances by a children’s choir, the Benn Family, known for their appearance on America’s Got Talent, as well as remarks from community speakers.
For those needing transportation, a shuttle bus will be available, loading passengers between 6:45 and 7:00 p.m. at the corner of Lake Avenue and Mendocino Street (2270 Lake Ave., Altadena, CA 91001). Limited street parking will also be available near the vigil site.
Community members of all ages are encouraged to attend and take part in this candlelit moment of remembrance and resilience.
