Recent rainstorms have  become a nightmare for motorists traversing local streets as potholes have increasingly opened up on many roadways. City crews can’t keep up with filling the numerous deep gashes in the asphalt pavement, with many filled potholes re-appearing after the recent saturation. Photos show one of South Pasadena’s many potholes on Monterey Road and Marengo Avenue that drivers were trying to avoid.
