County of Los Angeles officials have issued Evacuation Warnings for multiple burn-scar zones across Los Angeles County ahead of the anticipated rain event spanning Thursday, November 13 through Sunday, November 16.
“At-risk zones” include the following burn-scar areas: Canyon, Bethany, Eaton, Palisades, Hurst, Kenneth, Sunset, Lidia, Franklin and Bridge.
The warning window begins Thursday at 6 p.m. and runs through Sunday at 11 a.m.
Residents in these zones are urged to prepare now: gather pets, stock medications, secure important documents, and be ready to evacuate promptly if conditions worsen. Officials say those who require extra time (older adults, people with children, those with livestock, or mobility limitations) should consider leaving ahead of the storm.
The forecast projects a rain-heavy front moving in Thursday, with consistent rain and the possibility of intense bursts. Given the post-fire terrain in the foothills above the SGV (including the Altadena / La Cañada area and nearby slopes), recent burn scars have reduced soil stability and increased susceptibility to debris and mudflows.
