Power was out at a South Pasadena residence and affected other homes in the area Friday night after a tree fell on electrical wires in the backyard of a home in the 1500 block of Indiana Avenue just before 7:30 p.m., according to a South Pasadena Police Department official.
“We got a call from the homeowner saying they heard a loud bang in their backyard,” explained Randy Wise, a SPPD officer, “and then all the power was off in the house.”
Officer Wise said no injuries were reported following the reported incident just before 7:30 p.m.
“Everyone is safe,” said Wise, noting that a number of trees had fallen around town during recent storms.
