Creativity and Community at the Core
Students were encouraged to express their goals and aspirations through a creative piece as part of the application process. Rather than focusing on GPA, applicants were asked to submit a one-page reflection and provide a recommendation from a teacher, coach, counselor, or community member.
Strong Community Partnerships
David A. Brager, President and CEO of Citizens Business Bank, emphasized the significance of their partnership with the Pasadena Tournament of Roses, citing the scholarships as a meaningful investment in the community’s youth.
“At Citizens Business Bank, we are committed to initiatives that create lasting opportunities for future generations,” said Brager.
Mark Leavens, President of the 2026 Tournament of Roses, echoed that sentiment:
“This year’s Rose Scholars courageously used art and personal expression to share their experiences during the Eaton fires. We are proud to celebrate these resilient students and support their dreams through this scholarship program.”
