Pasadena International Film Festival is BACK!

Ninth annual Pasadena International Film Festival opens June 23 and runs through June 30 at local businesses including The Playhouse Village's Laemmle Playhouse 7 and Lyd & Mo Photography Studio host the best in independent film.

The ninth edition of the Pasadena International Film Festival (PIFF) returns to the Playhouse Village June 23-30, 2022, presenting more than 120 films from 15 countries during its eight-day run at Pasadena’s Laemmle Playhouse 7 theater. Q&As, Filmmakers’ panel, a Passholders’ Lounge, and a Great Gatsby-themed closing night award ceremony are also planned.

Festival entries include features, shorts, documentaries, animation, music videos and web series. They are presented in 27 programming blocks with categories such as “Something Wicked This Way Comes”, “A View to a Thrill,” “The Best Medicine” and “All My Pretty Ones,” among others. Every block features a moderated Q&A with filmmakers after the screening(s).

On Wednesday, June 29th, they will present a panel hosted by Natalia Lazarus of the Los Angeles Performing Arts Conservatory. The festival will close out with the Great Gatsby Gala & Award Ceremony on Thursday, June 30th at Der Wolf RestoBar.
