The heatwave is impacting this week’s Back To School activities in that the Principals, both at the middle school and high school, decided to forego the usual big welcome meeting in the auditorium for fear of overheating the parents before they’ve even begun. So parents simply came to school, as their students would, and started the day’s classes.
For incoming 6th grade families, it’s a whole new ballgame where instead of spending the evening with one teacher, they now must navigate six different teachers, all over the campus. Parents could be seen scurrying from the upstairs science rooms, down the stairs and across the quad to get over to the gym for P.E. All under the watchful eyes of Mr. Kubela and Mr. Yim. Don’t be late!
