SPHS STEM Building
As summer ends, the northern and southern building envelope will be completed. The painters are finishing the interior of the northern building and the southern building will be drywalled and painted soon. The roof is 50% complete and flooring for the northern section will begin mid-September. The project is scheduled to be completed on-time and under-budget.
SPMS Old Gymnasium Repurposing
The team reviewed construction proposals for the Old Gymnasium Repurposing project and will deliver a final decision at the September 11, 2018 Board meeting. We expect the Division of State Architects to approve the plans this fall with construction anticipated to begin in April 2019. The old gymnasium will become a black box theater, art room, and a flexible laboratory.
SPHS Physical Education and Athletic Facility
The team is planning a fluid transition between the existing gymnasium, athletic
field, baseball field, tennis courts and outdoor basketball courts. Final plans are expected to be completed and submitted to the Division of State Architect in October 2018.
