Quaker Oats is urgently recalling dozens of its granola snack bars and cereal products across the United States due to potential salmonella contamination.
This extensive recall includes various snack products like Quaker Big Chewy Bars® and Simply Granola® cereals. There are about 40 different products on the list.

The FDA advises consumers to immediately cease consumption and dispose of these products. While there have been no reported illnesses, salmonella can cause serious health issues, including diarrhea, fever, and stomach cramps.
For additional information or reimbursement, customers should contact Quaker Consumer Relations or visit the recall website.
The specific cause of the potential contamination is not yet disclosed by Quaker Oats. This situation underscores the critical importance of maintaining food safety standards, and the concern for safety by Quaker®. According to the FDA & Quaker, there are now know hospitalizations at this time.
Salmonella can be severe and even life-threatening, especially in young children, older adults, and individuals with weakened immune systems according to the CDC. Consult your medical professional if you are having any health issues.
