SouthPasadenan.com | A red Toyota and a silver Nissan collided early Tuesday morning, causing the Toyota to lose control and wind up on the sidewalk in front of Shakers Restaurant, 601 Fair Oaks Avenue, in South Pasadena.

A driver of a red Toyota was rushed to Huntington Memorial Hospital early Tuesday morning after crashing into a curb, nearly hitting a light standard, in front of Shakers Restaurant in the 600 block of Fair Oaks Avenue.

The report came in at 5:50 a.m. after the vehicle collided with a silver Nissan at the 110 Freeway-interchange at Grevelia Avenue. Authorities said the Toyota landed on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant following the collision.

The trapped driver of the Toyota was pulled from the wreckage through the passenger side of the vehicle as paramedics worked to place a brace around the woman’s neck before she was transported to the nearby hospital for treatment.
