Urban farmers across Los Angeles have an opportunity to apply for the Cultivating Farmers Micro-Grant, a funding initiative providing $15,000 to $20,000 per awardee. The grant supports critical farm infrastructure, equipment, workforce development, and community engagement to strengthen the viability of urban agriculture throughout the region.
The program is administered by the Los Angeles Food Policy Council (LAFPC) and funded by the California Department of Food and Agriculture’s Urban Agriculture Grant Program.
Rapid Support for Urban Agriculture Expansion
Designed as a rapid, short-term resource, the micro-grant aims to help growers stabilize and scale their operations while connecting them to longer-term resources. These include support for registration with the USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) and access to federal agricultural funding opportunities.
