According to a responding Officer on the scene on Tuesday night, February 13, at approximately 6:18 p.m., a driver leaving the Wells Fargo bank on Fair Oaks Ave in South Pasadena swerved after exiting the parking lot and drove onto the center median going southbound after attempting to execute a left turn onto the busy street. The officer had this to say:
“A gentleman was just leaving Wells Fargo and was turning left onto Fair Oaks (Ave) going south and hit the center median.”

After a slue of sporadic rainy weather this month, many accidents have been occurring at peak hours all over Southern California, South Pasadena being no exception.
With flash flood warnings and unpredictably heavy inclement weather, it is advised that drivers take caution when navigating the busier streets in South Pasadena – Fair Oaks Ave, Fremont Ave, Mission St, and Monterey Rd, being among the most congested during rush hour traffic.
The responding officer lent some simple, sound advice for anyone deciding to drive in the heavy rain, “Just a reminder when it rains, be careful, be aware of your surroundings, that’s it.”
