On June 6, 2026, at 9:52 a.m., officers were dispatched to the corner of Orange Grove Avenue and Mission Street to conduct a welfare check on an individual reportedly sleeping in the parkway.
Upon arrival, officers found the individual unresponsive. Recognizing signs of a narcotics overdose, they quickly administered two doses of Naloxone intranasally. Within minutes, the subject became responsive. South Pasadena Fire Department paramedics arrived soon after and transported the individual to a local hospital for further care.
The officers’ swift response and decisive actions were instrumental in the subject’s recovery.
