The next group are the Baby Boomers, where most of the current members of South Pasadena Rotary are today. Next is Gen X, followed by the Millennials and Gen Z.

South Pasadena High School alum Maylis Whetsel was in attendance at the meeting to accept the Susan Foster Scholarship. Whetsel is a recent graduate who will be attending Columbia University in the fall. Susan Foster was a longtime South Pasadena Rotarian who passed away in 2018. Her family wanted to honor Susan by creating a scholarship fund for SPHS students who focus on community service. Maylis is the first recipient of the Susan Foster scholarship.

The Rotary Club of South Pasadena meets every Tuesday at noon in the Tower Room at the Oneonta Congregational Church with the exception of the first Tuesday of the month when they meet at 6 p.m. at the Canoe House for an informal social meeting. Visitors are always welcome to attend.
