UPDATE: It’s the Summer Celebration of the Arts in South Pasadena

Saturday, July 15, 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Stop into the South Pasadenan headquarters for some freshly brewed Jones Coffee or a glass of wine, view some art and say hello. We are at 1127 Mission Street.

Join over 25 merchants and eateries who will stay open late on Saturday evening and feature art openings, live music, sales and other special events. Many local restaurants will offer food and drink specials and discounts, and some favorite food trucks will be on the street for your convenience.

Get creative at “It’s a Bug’s Life”, a free interactive art activity at the South Pasadena City Hall courtyard, where event-goers can create artwork inspired by our insect friends. Stroll the Artisans’ Corner to see a variety of handmade and unique art and gifts from Bellagazoo, SOPA Artists, Precious Few on Earth, Jikits, Let’s Rock Vintage Clothing, Sonali Kolhatkar, Craig Bethel/Thunderbachs, Peru Pa Ti, and Vardot Tarot. Nearby, on the lawn of the Ironworks Museum, the South Preservation Foundation hosts a free movie screening of “Grease” at 8:45 p.m. Visit the South Pasadena Library Community Room, which will present a Chinese-themed exhibit of contemporary paintings and sculptures by Shenping Wang, plus a musical performance by Guzheng performer Judy Ying. And groundbreaking glass fabricators, Judson Studios, offers gallery tours of their current projects.
