As you may know, approximately $1 billion is available from Metro to pursue mitigation projects in lieu of the SR-710 tunnel. Affected cities, including South Pasadena, have been asked to develop a list of projects that could qualify for funding. During the General Plan update, participants have expressed interest in what projects were being proposed.
Tomorrow night the Freeway & Transportation Commission and the Public Works Commission will hold a joint meeting to discuss a potential list of projects. Public comment will be welcomed. The meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. On November 21st the City Council will hold a special meeting to discuss the proposed project list and adopt the final project list to be submitted to Metro for their consideration.
