South Pasadena High’s Hayden Carlson and Jack Renken were selected as the athletes of the week, respectively, for their outstanding efforts in girls’ water polo and boys’ soccer as the winter sports season gets underway.

Hayden Carlson – Girls’ Water Polo

Senior Hayden Carlson led South Pasadena High in scoring during recent victories over Pasadena Poly and Mayfield.

Jack Renken – Boys’ Soccer

Senior Jack Renken scored four goals for the Tigers in recent victories over Duarte and Pasadena Poly.

Athlete of the week selections are made by SPHS Athletic Director Greg Luna.
