It marks the second yard sale the organization has held at the site this year which proved to be successful in its first effort.

“At our first event, we were encouraged by many of our local citizens to host another one as they had so much fun, and were excited by the bargains they found,” said Steve Fillingham, the SPTOR yard sale chair and Co-Construction Chair of the city’s float.

Fillingham said donations of items to be sold are “very much encouraged,” noting that nearly everything is welcome with the exception of large appliances, mattresses and box springs.

For those needing help with larger items, Fillingham said SPTOR has rented a trailer and will pick up them up for the sale.
