The City has re-launched the General Plan Update process and must complete and adopt the new General Plan and related re-zoning by the end of October, 2023.
You are cordially invited to join City staff and Master Planner Kaiser Rangwala to discuss how the City will manage new development that is consistent with state mandated growth targets.
- Session One will be held on Saturday, June 3 from 9 AM to noon. This session will re-acquaint participants with the draft General Plan (GP) and Downtown Specific Plan (DTSP), present the new housing development targets for South Pasadena and the initial proposal for distributing these new housing units. The purpose of this workshop is to engage residents in a discussion to determine how growth will be accommodated while preserving the City’s unique character and sense of place.
- Session Two will be held on Saturday, June 17 from 9 AM to noon. This session will offer a responsive proposal for managing growth using illustrations of possible development scenarios in the context of our community.
Both sessions will be held at the War Memorial Building, located at 435 Fair Oaks Avenue. Light refreshments will be served.
