The Music Center’s Dance DTLA is back starting on August 13th for five Friday night dance parties on its Jerry Moss Plaza. Shake your groove thing under the stars as dance instructors share easy-to-learn steps while DJs spin tunes to keep people dancing (An ASL interpreter will support the lessons.) Each Friday is different….Cumbia, Disco, Motown, Salsa and Bollywood. Guests are required to wear masks while out on the dance floor. No dancing experience necessary!
The Music Center has also partnered with LA County Public Health to host a free vaccine clinic so folks can get their first and second shots while having fun! (Pfizer and J+J will be offered for guests ages 12+ on 8/13 and 9/3; walk-ups are welcomed, but appointments at musiccenter.org are encouraged). Food and beverages available for purchase; picnicking allowed on the Plaza’s table and chairs during the event. Dance DTLA include free art-making workshops geared for all ages as part of the Friday night festivities on select dates, including August 20 and 27, and on September 10, 2021.
