A grateful South Pasadena Unified School District superintendent shared his thoughts as the Thanksgiving holiday approaches.
Geoff Yantz likes the direction the district is headed and feels fortunate to be a part of it.
“Here in South Pasadena, we have students who are thriving in academics, athletics, and extracurricular endeavors and parents who unconditionally love and support their parents,” Yantz wrote as part of his message. “We have faculty, staff, and administration who work tirelessly to become better educators to uplift our students, keep our buildings safe, and our system running smoothly.”
He’s also keeping local communities facing recent tragedies in his thoughts. In addition, his gratitude goes out to the thousands of firefighters who have flocked to the California wildfires in recent weeks and is appreciative of the work they perform daily.
Yantz enjoys being in a position to oversee a dynamic school system, teaming with teachers, students and parents to make it the best it can be. “Our collective vision for an even brighter tomorrow is what keeps us focused on the daily work that we do in support of all students,” wrote Yantz. “Enjoy your Thanksgiving break.”
