ELF Jr. Comes to Young Stars Theatre for the Holidays

“The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!” So says Buddy the Elf! Young Stars Theatre is excited to bring back one of their holiday favorites, Elf Jr., after three years! This family-friendly and Christmas-spirit-inspiring musical opens December 2nd at the Fremont Centre Theatre.

Based on the beloved character originally portrayed by Will Ferrell in the film “Elf”, Buddy the Elf will be played by both Maddy Smith and Veronica Koutsky, so make sure you go see both casts! Many of the actors are in both casts, playing different roles in different performances, keeping the show fresh and fun for cast members and audiences alike.

Elf Jr. follows the plight of Buddy, a young orphan, who mistakenly crawls into Santa’s bag of gifts and is transported to the North Pole. The would-be elf is raised, unaware that he is actually a human, until his enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa’s permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father and discover his true identity. Faced with the harsh reality that his father is on the naughty list and that his half-brother doesn’t even believe in Santa, Buddy is determined to win over his new family and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas.
