The Eclectic Friends of the Arts and the South Pasadena Chamber of Commerce invites the community to shake it up at the highly anticipated Eclectic Preview Party. This is one of the biggest fundraisers of the year that allows the community to help “keep the music free”, as Brad Colerick likes to say. Brad has been curating the music acts for The Eclectic since 2011, taking over from founders Scott Feldman and Walter Zooi.

The Preview Party has also become a time when we celebrate the contributions of two individuals who have made significant contributions to art, music, and culture in South Pasadena with the Creative Community Awards. Each year two individuals are recognized who have worked tirelessly to keep the arts alive and accessible in South Pasadena.
The 2024 Creative Community Awards will be presented to Gloria Bennett of Young Stars Theatre and Diana March of Jeweled Universe.

Gloria has been running Young Stars Theatre for over 25 years, the last 8 of which has been here in South Pasadena as the resident youth theatre company at Fremont Centre Theatre. They provide classes, theatre camps, and full scale productions of plays and musicals that give young people ages 4-18 opportunities to grow and thrive in a theatre environment. Diana March is owner and operator of Jeweled Universe, whose Starlit Stage has become a town favorite for live performances where March welcomes all genres of music that aligns beautifully with all things Eclectic, much like the incredible town we live in.

The event will be Sunday March 24 from 1pm – 5pm where revelers will enjoy live performances, food, beer/wine, auction, 2024 poster reveal, and creative community awards!
