Kick off your shoes, relax and stay awhile might be the message of the day as the City of South Pasadena presents the second of five summer concerts in Garfield Park on Sunday.
Bringing the sounds will be the Louie Cruz Beltran Latin Jazz Orchestra from 6 to 8 p.m. in the north end of the park, near the tennis courts.
Concert-goers are encouraged to bring beach chairs, blankets and picnic-style dinners while enjoying the lively music. Food will also be on sale.
Beltran and his fellow musicians combine Afro- Cuban rhythms and R ‘n B influences, showing a passion for music with a high-energy performance during their two hours on stage.
The concerts are scheduled every other Sunday, providing a safe atmosphere where families and friends in the community can come together, socialize and enjoy an evening of music.
