On Wednesday, June 3, 2026, the South Pasadena City Council will convene at the Council Chambers at 1424 Mission Street for three key meetings. South Pasadena leaders will gather to discuss pivotal infrastructure updates, transit plans, and the upcoming municipal elections.
Meeting Schedule
The evening kicks off with a closed session at 5:30 p.m. to discuss real property negotiations concerning 920 Lohman Lane.
This is followed by a special study session at 6:00 p.m. focused entirely on the Huntington Drive and Fremont Avenue Corridor Improvement Project.
Finally, the regular city council meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Key Agenda Highlights
Residents can expect discussions on several important local initiatives during the regular session. Highlights from the agenda include:
• Selecting design alternatives for the Fremont Avenue corridor, including potential roundabouts at Hope Street and Oxley Street.
• Authorizing a grant application to help fund a Type 3 wildland/urban interface fire apparatus.
• Adopting official resolutions for the General Municipal Election scheduled for November 3, 2026.
• Reviewing aftermarket electric vehicle conversions for the city’s Public Works fleet to pursue grant funding.
Transit and Development Updates
The council will also address important updates to the city’s zoning map and development standards. A public hearing regarding the Transit-Oriented Development Alternative Plan is currently on the agenda.
However, city staff recommends continuing this public hearing to the July 15, 2026 meeting, pending official directives from regional authorities.
“These meetings are a great opportunity for residents to have their voices heard on the projects shaping our neighborhoods,” noted a city representative.
