ANOTHER ADDITION TO TROPHY CASE!
South Pasadena’s track team continued its dominance of the local high school track scene as the Tigers sent numerous athletes to the upcoming CIF championships.
After winning an unprecedented 14th straight RHL title, head coach CB Richards saw some of his proteges produce personal best records at the RHL championship meet Friday at South Pasadena HS.
Abby Errington once again awed those in attendance with her impressive come-from-behind win in the 3200 race. The Pole vault saw two vaulters take the top spots with personal bests. The shot put was won by Omar Souf, who is among the tops in the state in his specialty.
As a unit, they had qualifiers in each event and had a total of 46 CIF qualifiers (42 individual and all 4 relay teams). In the 32 competition events held, the Tigers won half (16) of them! Truly a great athletic achievement!
