Celebrating ‘Year of the Pig’ | Moon Festival Sep 22

The big event will feature food, entertainment, contests, arts and crafts and boundless fun

Taking place in the park surrounding and in the South Pasadena Library Community Room at 1115 El Centro Street, the 2019 Moon Festival is scheduled for Sunday, September 22 from11 a.m. to 3 p.m. as Year of the Pig will be celebrated.

The festive family event will feature music and dance performances, a tea tasting, cultural games and activities, a chalk drawing contest and kids corner.

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. outdoor entertainment and performances will be held in Library Park. Indoor activities are scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. in the community room.

The event is co-sponsored by the South Pasadena Chinese-American Club (SPCC), Sino US Arts, the City of South Pasadena and the Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library.

Vendors will be offering Chinese-style fashion accessories, a photo opportunity, and a mystery box booth.

Admission is free, and tickets can be purchased for food, drinks, and some activities.
