A overturned vehicle slowed northbound lanes on the 110 Freeway Wednesday afternoon as South Pasadena Fire Department officials responded to the major accident during rush hour.

SPFD Chief Paul Riddle said two individuals were trapped before they were transported with minor injuries to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena for treatment.

“First arriving units did report that the victims were self-extricated prior to our arrival so the rescue assignment was cancelled,” explained Riddle, noting that a unit from the Pasadena Fire Department was called in for assistance following the 5:45 p.m. incident.
