On Thursday afternoon at approximately 3:15 PM, a Navy Blue Toyota Prius careened off the Northbound off-ramp for 110 Freeway at Fair Oaks and Grevelia, crashing into multiple cars.
Several units were dispatched immediately to the scene of the multiple-car collision occurring right at the beginning of rush hour traffic in South Pasadena.
According to witnesses on the scene reporting, up to 6 automobiles were involved in the major accident caused by a single car that did not stop while exiting the freeway off-ramp and jetting through the intersection until it crashed into two other cars.
A witness from the scene reported: “….The car was launched into the intersection after coming off the off-ramp and hitting the curb….he had to be going at least 50…”

It appears that up to four of the vehicles are completely totaled from the collision. Injuries are being treated on scene by paramedics.
Traffic on Fair Oaks, Grevelia, and the 110 Freeway will be severely delayed as the wreckage is cleared and the investigation is completed by the South Pasadena Police Department.
