I first met the guys in Bone Maggot when we played a show together about three or four years ago. Since then I’ve made sure to keep track of what can only be described as a meteoric rise in the Ventura metal scene, even taking the Best Metal Band in 2015 and 2016 from the Ventura County Music Awards. Heavy and groove based they’re a band you can easily move to while you throw up some horns. They also happen to be some the raddest people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting.
Scene politics can be tricky in a small city like Ventura but this is the kind of band that will support other bands instead of take away from them, the kind of band that sets an example; something that every scene needs.
This Friday July 20, 2018 they’ll be playing at the famed Rainbow Room in Hollywood. All you metalheads and heshers out there need to check this show out – it’s going to be huge and may be one of the last times to see a band this good in a smaller venue because these guys are destined for a big stage.
