South Pasadena Emergency responders at the scene credited the deployment of airbags in both vehicles for preventing more severe injuries. The collision involved a Honda sedan and a late-model Kia SUV, with the Honda sustaining the most significant damage.
South Pasadena Police and Fire Departments quickly cleared the scene, and the road was reopened shortly thereafter. The exact cause of the accident remains under investigation.
