Joanne Nuckols Memorial Gathering to Be Held Saturday, February 28, 2026

The community is invited to attend the Joanne Nuckols Memorial Gathering on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at the South Pasadena War Memorial Building, to honor the life, work, and legacy of longtime South Pasadena civic leader Joanne Nuckols.
The gathering will begin at 11:00 a.m., with speakers scheduled from 12:00 PM. to 1:00 PM, followed by a light lunch and informal fellowship from 1:00 PM. to 1:30 PM
This event is open to the public and does not require an RSVP.
Joanne Nuckols was a central figure in South Pasadena’s civic and preservation history for decades. She played a key role in the long community effort to stop the 710 Freeway extension, worked extensively through the South Pasadena Preservation Foundation and other local important and impactful organizations, and served as a trusted source of institutional knowledge, research, and guidance for residents, advocates, and public officials alike.
The memorial gathering is intended as a space for the community to come together — to reflect on Joanne’s work, hear from those who knew and worked with her, and recognize the lasting impact she had on South Pasadena and beyond.
The gathering is organized by members of the South Pasadena civic and preservation community in recognition of Joanne Nuckols’ decades of service and leadership.
