Thirteen students of the Pascale Music Institute in South Pasadena have been invited back to take the stage for the First Place Winner’s Recital on April 12 at New York’s famed Carnegie Hall.

The group, ranging in age from 9 to 14, will perform Concerto Grosso op.6 Number 1 by G. F. Handel. While Pascale students have previously played at Carnegie Hall four times, this is the first time they will perform without a conductor.

Members of Pascale’s orchestra have achieved worldwide acclaim through performances on “America’s Got Talent” and Justin Bieber’s new music video “Yummy.” They also performed on national commercials, including “LensCrafters,” “DreamWorks,” “American Family Insurance” and more.

Susan Pascale founded her program in 2001 when she moved from New York to California. After attempting to enroll her then 8-year-old in the local school’s music program, she was astonished to discover there was no program and offered free violin lessons to anyone willing to learn. Twenty-five kids soon signed up for her program.
