There was a party going down at Communal Tuesday evening as chamber members gathered to celebrate the tremendous growth we’re seeing in South Pasadena this year. Chamber President, the indefatigable Laurie Wheeler, told the enthusiastic crowd that the Chamber gained 40 new members last fiscal year bringing the current total to 262 members.

The Chamber coordinated and held more than 15 ribbon cuttings, some for new businesses and others were to celebrate new ownership and milestone celebrations. Noteworthy among those was the celebration for Priority One Credit Union who commemorated 90 years in business! Revelers enjoyed pulled pork sandwiches, deviled eggs, bruschetta, wine and cheese in the airy, festive patio ambiance of Communal and lively conversation flowed for hours. Also being recognized at the event were ten Chamber members who made the ten year mark including Alex Boekelheide with PCC, Michele Downing, Partners Trust Real Estate, Jamie Khuu Inzunza, Mamma’s Brick Oven Pizza, Jon Primuth, Primuth & Driskell, LLP and South Pasadena Unified School District.

Earlier in the week, the newest members of the chamber were welcomed at a wine and cheese happy hour at the chamber where Wheeler and other chamber members let the new members know that not only was the Chamber there to support them but that South Pasadena is truly a community that is growing together. The newest members include Dr. David Chen, DC, South Pasadena Homes, New Vision Dental, Partini, Retreat, Law Offices of Dean Serwin, KSHIFT, and 210EastSound.
