CalTrans District 7 crews will close the northbound off-ramp at Avenue 60 on State Route 110 (Arroyo Seco Parkway) beginning at 11:59 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2026 to complete critical bridge work, Caltrans announced. The closure will remain in effect throughout the first phase of construction, with work expected to continue through spring 2026.

The closure affects the Avenue 60 off-ramp and is part of a broader effort to upgrade bridge railings and improve structural longevity on this section of SR-110 and three bridges on U.S. 101.

Motorists traveling northbound on SR-110 who normally use the Avenue 60 off-ramp may plan to exit at either Marmion Way/Avenue 64 or Via Marisol instead.

CalTrans also notes reduced posted speed limits through the work zone — lowered by 10 mph — and advises drivers to plan ahead, expect possible delays, and use caution near construction zones. Signage warning of the closure and detour routes will be posted in advance.

The closure and lane reductions are subject to change due to weather or operational conditions. Motorists seeking the latest traffic information should consult Caltrans QuickMap or official Caltrans District 7 updates.

This work is funded through a $15.8 million project focused on bringing existing bridge rails up to current standards and increasing the durability and service life of the SR-110 at Avenue 60 structure, as well as three bridges on U.S. 101 at Alvarado Street, First Street and Santa Monica Boulevard/State Route 2.
