As part of School-X, an entrepreneurial program for kids, each student designed and developed their own product, learned salesmanship, collaboration, networking, pitch mechanics, financial analysis, and social giveback all within an eight week session that culminated in this unique event.
Students from third through fifth grade enlisted the support of their friends and families as they set up their booths and opened shop. Products ranged from Eden’s “Important Organizers” to “Bee Bee’s Lice Repellent Bows.” One of the most popular seasonal items was Apollo’s glow in the dark “Ghoul-ey Halloween Slime” with the option to add popping texture. Another hot seller was a beautifully hand-crafted and personalized headband from Serenity Now. School-X students showcased naturally flavored dog treats, unique pet toys, fuzzy friends and more!

Not only did these young entrepreneurs develop some amazing products, but they also put into practice what they learned in class about pitch mechanics and salesmanship. Customers could not refuse such enthusiastic pitches and were impressed with their product knowledge! All proceeds from this event will be given back to Marengo Elementary and charities that were selected by the students, such as UNICEF, the Humane Society and more!
The mission of School-X is to teach and mentor young individuals to utilize their creativity and develop their entrepreneurial spirit to make a difference in our world, starting today!
