Standup Comedy Night Thursday, July 19 at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Room. The Library and the Friends of the Library proudly present the “3 F Comedy Night”. The Family-Friendly- Funnies event will turn the historic venue into an comedy club presenting the “Catholic Laughs” comedy troupe. Doors for the free event will open at 6:30 and refreshments will be served. The evening will showcase a stellar lineup of three nationally headlining comics: “Conan” and “Letterman” writer/comic Brian Kiley, Guinness World Record-setting comic juggler Ron Pearson, and Mary Gallagher, fresh off her national-TV debut on the Stephen Colbert show. The show also includes sets by “Catholic Laughs” co-founders Scott Vinci (Comedy Store, Flappers) and the Pasadena Weekly arts editor Carl Kozlowski, who have spent the past year bringing clean and clever comedy shows to groups and meetings across Los Angeles.

A live concert performance by Goh Kurosawa and an exhibit of drawings and paintings by Pete Morris Saturday, July 21 The free event will open at 6:00 p.m. when more than 40 of Morris’s stunning artworks of LA people and scenes will be on display. At 7:00 p.m. a documentary about Pete’s life and artwork will be screened and Goh Kurosawa will present a dynamic solo guitar set at 7:30 p.m. at the Library Community Room on as part of the Summer Arts Crawl. 19th Annual Block Party and Community Resource Fair Saturday Hosted by Assemblymember Chris Holden, August 4, 2018 from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm. 500 block of Jackson Street in Pasadena Come discuss legislative and community issues while enjoying live music, a classic car show, game trucks and much more! Information on local and state resources will also be available.
