City of South Pasadena broadcast emergency message via automated phone calls that included the following:

SPUSD All schools are closed today
Housing damage the city advised to contact ‘your insurance’

Power has been restored to ‘all service locations’ in South Pasadena, overall. If you are still out of electricity, officials advise to contact SCE for continued follow-ups. SCE Crews are working 24-7. The emergency phone number for Southern California Edison (SCE) is (800) 611-1911
The Metro Rail ‘A-Line’ through South Pasadena was shut down last night due to a large tree falling onto the overhead power supply lines and onto the tracks. Service is interrupted in the area, and bus shuttles are in place.

The city of South Pasadena had several fires over the last 12 hours. One of note was a vegetation fire in Monterey Hills on Santa Theresa Street. Fire crews were on scene for about 4 hours. It was reported to be a ‘vegetation fire’ that grew to about an acre in size before being extinguished. No homes were reported lost, overall damage is still being assessed.
