“I’m thankful for meeting so many wonderful South Pasadenans over the years, for the opportunity to be a part of a community that supports one another, has great schools, enjoyable year-round events and people who want to make the city even better than it is today!

I’m especially grateful for those in the United States Armed Forces who fight for our freedom. I’m grateful for meeting a special person who has come into my life, for having a great son and for the opportunity to enjoy Thanksgiving with my sister, who resides in Northern California.

Happy Thanksgiving!” – Bill Glazier

“When I was attending college in the early 70s, I couldn’t go home for thanksgiving because our team had couple of basketball games during the break, so I filled in at our college radio station. One year I received requests to play Arlo Guthree’s “Alice’s Restaurant” album because the story is about events that happened on Thanksgiving. After making an on air plea, a listener brought the album over for our station to play. Every year since then I’ve spun the album at home on the holiday. This year after looking for the album, instead I pulled out the soundtrack LP, which varies from the original “Alice’s” album and was caught by surprise that it also contains the song “Amazing Grace.” It helped me to be even more thankful that I will be spending the day with my wife, Peggy, and that I work with so many wonderful folks in South Pas.” – Steve Fjeldsted – Library Director
