THEFT

2-12-19, 7:56 AM to 8:03 AM, 200 block of Fair Oaks. ’01 Honda Accord. Suspect(s) enter victim’s unlocked vehicle and take loss. LOSS: Cash.

• 2-12-19, 1:15 PM to 1:24 PM, 1000 block of Garfield. Suspect borrows RP cell phone and takes loss. LOSS: ID card.

• 2-12-19, 2:53 PM to 3:37 PM, 600 block of Fair Oaks (Bristol Farms). Suspects place loss in bags and leave store without paying. SUSPECT ARRESTED: S1 – Male, 31 years, South Pasadena. S2 – Female, Hispanic, 27 years, Los Angeles. LOSS: Liquor (recovered).

• 2-13-19, 8:05 PM to 8:15 PM, 900 block of Fair Oaks (Rite Aid). Suspect places loss in backpack and leaves store without paying. SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Male, Hispanic, 20-30 years, wearing a black hat, dark jacket, dark pants, dark shoes, and backpack. LOSS: Batteries.

• 2-16-19, 1:00 AM to 8:30 AM, 400 block of Raymondale. ’07 Toyota Corolla. Suspect(s) tamper with victim’s vehicle and take loss. LOSS: Car battery.

• 2-16-19, 5:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 1100 block of Fair Oaks. ’03 Toyota Corolla. Suspect(s) tamper with victim’s vehicle and take loss. LOSS: Car battery.

• 2-16-19, 1:41 PM to 1:55 PM, 500 block of Mound. ’03 Toyota Matrix. Suspect(s) tamper with victim’s vehicle and take loss. LOSS: Car battery.

• 2-14-19, 1:00 AM to 2-16-19, 2:05 PM, 500 block of Mound. ’98 Toyota Corolla. Suspect(s) tamper with victim’s vehicle and take loss. LOSS: Car battery.

• 2-16-19, 4:44 PM to 4:45 PM, 1100 block of Fair Oaks (Vons). Suspect takes loss and leaves store without paying. SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Male, Black, wearing a red/orange shirt, jean shorts, short dark hair, glasses. SUSPECT VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: Green Jeep. LOSS: Liquor, grocery items.

• 2-16-19, 4:00 PM to 2-17-19, 7:30 AM, 400 block of Garfield. ’05 Ford F350. Suspect(s) enter victim’s unlocked vehicle and take loss. LOSS: Tools. • 2-16-19, 6:00 PM to 2-17-19, 10:00 AM, 400 block of Raymondale. ’06 Toyota Camry. Suspect(s) tamper with victim’s vehicle and take loss. LOSS: Car battery.

MINOR IN POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA ON SCHOOL GROUNDS

  • 2-12-19, 10:44 AM, 1400 block of Fremont (South Pasadena High School). Subject brings marijuana into school grounds. SUBJECT CITED: Male, juvenile.

FRAUD BY FALSE PRETENSE

2-12-19, 4:47 PM to 5:23 PM, 1700 block of Hope. Victim searches online for a phone number to Apple support to cancel gift card transactions. Suspect poses as an Apple employee and instructs victim to purchase gift cards and to read the access codes. Suspect states that the codes did not work and instructs victim to purchase more gift cards. Victim purchases the cards and gives suspect the access codes. Suspect states again that the gift card codes did not work and to purchase additional gift cards.

• 9-26-18, 10:02 AM to 2-14-19, 10:49 AM, 1600 block of Indiana. Suspect contacts victim via social media and proposes a business opportunity. Victim sends online bank information to suspect as requested and suspect deposits a check to victim’s account. Suspect instructs victim to keep a portion of the check and send the remainder to an account via Western Union. The deposited check is found to be fictitious.

• 2-15-19, 9:20 AM to 9:34 AM, 1100 block of Glendon Court. Suspect 1 calls victim and poses as an employee with the Social Security Administration. Suspect 1 claims that victim’s social security number is associated with a crime. Suspect 1 asks victim to verify personal details, in which victim obliges. Suspect 1 claims that victim has an outstanding arrest warrant and to cooperate. Victim is transferred to Suspect 2, who poses as a DEA agent.

DRUNK IN PUBLIC

2-13-19, 1:47 AM to 2:22 AM, 1200 block of Pine. Officers respond to a call regarding a subject continuously knocking on a residential door. Suspect is found to be under the influence of alcohol and unable to care for herself. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Female, White, 35 years.

• 2-17-19, 2:06 PM to 2:13 PM, 1100 block of Fair Oaks. Officers respond to a call regarding a subject possibly have a seizure and find suspect to be under the influence of alcohol and unable to care for himself. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, White, 51 years, Pasadena.

STOLEN VEHICLE

2-13-19, 6:33 PM to 6:53 PM, 1700 block of La Senda. ’93 Honda Civic.

• 2-14-19, 5:34 AM to 6:00 AM, 300 block of Monterey. ’03 Chevrolet Tahoe.

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY

2-14-19, 10:45 AM to 12:40 PM, 1800 block of Laurel. Suspect(s) smash a door window but do not make entry. LOSS: None.

• 2-16-19, 4:00 PM to 4:59 PM, 200 block of Camino Del Sol. Suspect(s) smash the rear sliding door of victim’s residence. LOSS: None.

DEFRAUDING AN INNKEEPER 2-17-19, 12:00 AM to 1:28 AM, 1400 block of Huntington (The Barkley Restaurant & Bar). Suspect consumes multiple drinks and does not pay for them. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, Hispanic, 21 years, Los Angeles.

IDENTITY THEFT/CREDIT CARD FRAUD/CHECK FRAUD

2-10-19, 8:29 AM to 8:35 AM, 1400 block of Mission. Suspect(s) alter and cash victim’s check.

RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE

2-18-19, 8:10 AM to 9:28 AM, 400 block of Magnolia. ’18 Toyota Tacoma. Officers respond to a call regarding a suspicious vehicle and find suspects to be sitting in a stolen vehicle. SUSPECTS ARRESTED: S1 – Male, Hispanic, 31 years, Monrovia. S2 – Female, Hispanic, 28 years, El Monte.
