The Vecinos de South Pasadena community invites the public to its 2025 Scholarship Awards Ceremony on Saturday, May 31 at 10:00 a.m., held at the South Pasadena Public Library Community Room. The event will celebrate three exceptional local students who embody academic excellence, community leadership, and pride in Latino heritage.
Spotlight on STEM and Community Partnership
This year’s ceremony is especially notable as it marks the organization’s first-ever focus on students pursuing STEM careers. The event also highlights a new partnership with Edison International, whose generous support helped make this year’s scholarship awards possible.
Honoring Future Leaders in Science and Medicine
The 2025 honorees include aspiring professionals in emergency medicine, biochemistry, and biology. Each recipient will be recognized for their academic achievements and contributions to the community. Attendees will hear the scholars’ inspiring stories and witness firsthand the impact of educational support and cultural pride.
