Girls volleyball was off to a great start Tuesday night as they bested the Mark Keppel Aztecs in three sets 30-28, 25-12 and 25-18. Freshman Lexi Schroeder came out strong with a first set ace on the heels of a powerful kill by Freshman Lola Foord. South Pas benefitted from a strong offense but Mark Keppel stayed in the game, eventually tying the set 20-20. Senior Maddie Saito ended the set with a kill; 30-28 South Pas.
Tigers won the second set handily with Saito delivering superb serves and Foord dominating. Sophomore Kimi Brown and Freshman Lindsay Hirano helped boost the Tigers momentum taking them to a 25-2 win.
After Mark Keppel took an initial lead in the third set, Tigers came roaring back to tie it up 10-10. With multiple kills and great defense Tigers take the set 25-18 with senior Harper Fox coming through with the game winning point.
