The Woman’s Club of South Pasadena Welcomes New Evening Membership

Meet & Greet for members and friends of the newly formed Evening Membership Committee Saturday

PRESS RELEASE

The Woman’s Club of South Pasadena will re-open their historic clubhouse on Saturday, June 19 with a Meet & Greet for members and friends of the newly formed Evening Membership Committee.

The Evening Membership Committee was the brainchild of member Judy Rivera who recognized a need to increase club membership. As a busy mother and business owner, it was apparent to Rivera that to attract new members, club participation would need to be convenient for working women and mothers with younger children.

Historically, the Club holds regular monthly meetings on Wednesdays from 10am-12pm.  The Evening Membership Committee plans to meet on the same Wednesday as the daytime membership but in the evening. Meetings will also be available on Zoom for those who are not able to make it to the Clubhouse.

Judy Rivera, one of the Members forming the Committee says, “The Evening Membership Committee is growing quickly with local women who are interested in providing service within our community while connecting, networking, and supporting one another. In addition to service, several fun and unique events are in the works.”

The Evening Membership will carry out the mission of the Woman’s Club of South Pasadena through projects and philanthropy that will benefit undeserved youth in South Pasadena. EMC welcomes all who are committed to equally serving a diverse South Pasadena community through philanthropy and volunteerism.

The Woman’s Club of South Pasadena was founded in 1899. The Clubhouse, which is located at the corner of Rollin Street and Fremont Avenue, was built in 1913 and is included in the City of South Pasadena’s Cultural Heritage inventory.
