The South Pasadena Public Library’s Teen Advisory Board (TAB) has created take-home stress kits for teens as a break between AP testing and a lead up to finals week. The stress kits will be available for pick up at the Adult Reference Desk beginning May 12, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.

Each take-home stress kit will contain three (3) colorable bookmarks, a handwritten note of encouragement from the Take a Note, Leave a Note program, a paper seed bomb that teens can plant, and an affirmation card. TAB members came up with the idea and assembled the kits during their last meeting of the spring semester as a way to help their fellow teens through AP testing and finals week. The kits funded by the Friends of the South Pasadena Public Library are available on a first-come first-served basis while supplies last.

TAB is a small group of teens, grades 8-12, dedicated to helping and improving the Library. TAB members are required to attend three regular meetings throughout the semester as well as volunteer at least one day a month at the Library. For more information about the fall TAB recruitment, please visit www.southpasadenaca.gov/TAB or email TAB Librarian Anne Armacost aarmacost@southpasadenaca.gov or call Children’s Services at (626) 403-7358.
