The South Pasadena Unified School District (SPUSD) Board of Education will hold a regular board meeting on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at 1100 El Centro Street. The open session will begin at 6:30 p.m., following a closed session at 5:30 p.m., to discuss district financials, upcoming student activities, and general updates.
Financial and Administrative Updates
A significant portion of the meeting will focus on the district’s financial health and administrative operations. The Board is scheduled to review and approve the 2024-2025 Audit.
Additionally, the administration is recommending the approval and positive certification of the district’s 2025-2026 Second Interim Budget.
Student Trips and Programs
The agenda also includes several exciting travel opportunities for South Pasadena High School students. The Board will vote on approving the following overnight trips:
• Journalism Conference: A trip for approximately 13 journalism students to attend the JEA/NSPA Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
• SkillsUSA Competition: About 40 students are slated to participate in the SkillsUSA California Leadership and Skills Competition in Ontario, California.
• Pep Camp: A cheer and dance camp in Riverside, California, for roughly 45 pep squad members to learn new routines and participate in team bonding experiences.
Special Education and Contracts
Several consent agenda items center on providing essential services for special education students. The Board will consider master contracts and individual service agreements for the 2025-2026 school year.
These agreements include partnerships with agencies like Cortica Behavioral Health, The Hillside School and Learning Center, and Total Education Solutions, among others.
Public Participation
Community members are encouraged to attend and share their thoughts with the board. Time is reserved for those in the audience who wish to address the Board of Education.

Public input will be taken during all agenda items, and visitors are allotted three minutes per speaker.

To address the Board, a speaker card must be submitted to the Secretary to the Superintendent prior to the beginning of the meeting.
The meeting takes place at the District Office, located at 1100 El Centro Street, South Pasadena, CA 91030.
