A second suspect has been arrested in connection with the December 2018 attempted robbery of Vana Watch and Jewelry on Mission Street.

The first suspect, Omar Bradley, was apprehended several days after the attempted robbery. Subsequent investigation led to the identification of a second suspect, Marcus Harris. On Wednesday, May 29, Harris was detained by Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department during a traffic stop. SPPD was notified and detectives took custody of Harris and booked him for attempted robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.

The crime occurred on December 14, 2018, when two men entered Vana Watch and Jewelry on 1401 Mission Street. They initially posed as customers, but one of the suspects subsequently drew a knife and pointed it at the owner, demanding all the watches. The owner defended himself against the suspect with the knife, while fending off an attack from the other suspect, who was wearing metal knuckles. Both suspects fled after an employee produced a handgun.
